CORE VALUES EDUCATION

The nine Alllights Villages in Nueva Ecija have received the introductory lecture on GPFF’s vision, mission and its Core Values. Alllights Village people were willing to be educated by GPFF with all their aspirations and dreams to be achieved most especially with the goal of making their sitio a model community through this Alllights Village project. The sitio have their own sets of officers but there are sitios currently became Alllights Village which the sitio leadership needs to have people focusing on monitoring and sustaining the program, Allights Villages like the 1st, 2nd, 4th, 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th whose officers were status quo, while 3rd and 5th held their election after the core values lecture.

Majority of families could attend the lectures and responded positively accepting that the greatest challenge or reason that their village is far from development and progress is an issue of mindsetting and lifestyle. Everyone agreed that their mindset and lifestyle (culture) must change, be accountable continuously in driving the development of the community.

Align to the goal of irradicating illiteracy, GPFF Philippines and DepEd Nueva Ecija will sign a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for ALS to be implemented in Allights Villages effective November 2, 2012. GPFF Philippines is an accredited service provider of DepEd ALS and named the program as GlobALS. Glob ALS learning sites are 1st, 2nd. 3rd, 4th and 5th Alllights Villages. GPFF constructed Multipurpose Hall for the 1st-3rd Alllights Village while on October and November the 4th and the 5th AV’s Multipurpose Hall will be constructed to be use as learning center.
Each Alllights Village will create committees that will make everyone to participate actively for community development while GPFF and the local government units (province, municipal/city and barangay). More doors or opportunities for improvement and development were opened by the start of Alllights Village project.
GPFF Japan is in partnership with Alpha Phi Omega (APO) Nagoya Chapter and APO is in current partnership with Gawad Kalinga (GK) providing a housing for the poor families in Sitio Gatid, Sta Cruz, Laguna. GPFF Philippines was requested to help in the ocular to validate the community for Alllights Village. It has 69 families and the community is unenergized. Many requirements were settled for the December 26-28, 2012 visit.

In Mindanao, our partnership with the local government unit of Carmen, Davao del Norte, Hon. Mayor Marcelino Perandos wanted to welcome the Alllights Village project in his town.
