University Students and Officials celebrate 3rd Global Peace Festival Day in the Campus by giving to GPFF-ALS Communities
Global Peace Medical Mission

The team provided services to 523 patients in total for the 4 days and most of the patients were women and children. Out of the total number 40% were male and 60% of them were women. Young children and mothers counted more than 70% of the total consultations. Basic relief goods were also distributed to families in the evacuation centers.
While thousands are reported dead, injured and missing, and hundreds of families were left homeless by the typhoon, the remaining survivors are appealing for help as they struggle to rebuild their lives and homes in Mindanao. While blessed to have survivors, infectious diseases and outbreaks have started to set-in among the communities where man-made tents were set-up as their temporary homes.
In a report by AMDA International, volunteers took turn and joined the mobile clinic in four different places over the period of four days.
•13th Jan.: Macasandig city center, Cagayan de Oro (CdeO),
•14th Jan.: Maktibasac area of CdeO.
•15th Jan.: Iligan city
•16th Jan.: Mandumul area of CdeO.

Though the medical mission lasted for few days, Global Peace Medical Mission and its volunteers hope to extend their service to uplift the lives and hopes of Filipino brothers and sisters in this distressing time.
