Global Youth Summit 2012 to Guide Young Leaders

Design, Develop and Deliver Local Community Projects

With the theme, “Design, Develop and Deliver,” the Global Youth Summit 2012 will gather a thousand top student leaders from colleges and universities in the Philippines and international delegates on August 11, 2012 at the Skydome of SM North EDSA.

This one-day event aims to provide a platform for youth leadership and development to initiate a positive cross-generational impact in society by actively participating in designing, developing and delivering relevant projects in the local communities. Based on its theme, Global Youth Summit 2012 will be divided into three blocks (Design, Develop and Deliver) focusing on three issue tracks: Education, Entrepreneurship and Environment & Sustainability.

The DESIGN block aims to equip the delegates with skills on effective execution of their own projects. This will include talks on starting a campaign, upscaling ideas, project management and getting support. These talks will provide the youth with the readiness to venture into specific and more concrete action steps towards the creation of socially relevant and impactful projects.

The DEVELOP block will serve as the platform for the delegates to apply all the learning they have had so far into creating and refining their own project ideas. They will be guided into placing their project ideas into insightful and credible frameworks and business models.

The DELIVER block initiates the first few steps into the implementation of several socially relevant projects. This block will include awarding of prizes and recognition to remarkable participants and project ideas.

Guest speakers will include Mr. Brian Quebengco, founder and Chief Innoventor of Innovent, Inc.; Tony Harris, CEO of BBDO Guerrero; Mr. Brad Geiser, Social Marketing Geiser Maclang; Mr. Anthony Pangilinan, renowned AIESEC Philippines alumnus and former President of AIESEC International; along with other notable speakers and personalities from key partners.
